Augustine Dodier "Billie" Bennett
COVINGTON -- Augustine Dodier "Billie" Bennett died on May 26, 2000 at the age of 85 of cancer.
She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington for the past 22 years. She was the retired cafeteria manager for St. Mathias Catholic School in New Orleans and she also cooked for the Christian Brothers at St. Paul's School in Covington.
She was a member of the Covington Kaycettes, a women's auxiliary, the St. Tammany Hospital Guild and she also did volunteer work for the St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Gene Bennett of Covington; a sister, Olive Dudenhefer of Metairie; and a daughter-in-law, Gay Glaudi Bennett. Preceding Bennett in death were her husband, Eugene C.
Bennett Sr. and two sisters, Edith Montz and Bessie Domingo.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 29, 2000 at St. Paul's School Chapel in Covington.
Interment was in Hope Mausoleum in New Orleans.
In lieu of flowers, donations are being asked in the name of the St. Paul's Retired Brothers Community, 917 S. Jahcke Ave., Covington, La., 70433.
Richard P. Dyess
COVINGTON -- Richard P. Dyess died Monday, May 29, 2000 of cancer at his home in Covington.
Dyess was 76 years of age.
He was a native of Ellisville, Miss., and he lived in Covington for the past 38 years.
He was a retired executive and a retired store manager of G.C. Murphey Co., which conducted business for many years as Morgan & Lindsay, and he was a veteran U.S. Army Staff Sergeant with a T-5 rating.
A graduate of Ellisville High School in Ellisville, Miss., he attended East Central Junior College in Mississippi and Mississippi State University.
Survivors include his wife, Clovis Tadlock Dyess; a daughter, Kay Dyess Simmons of Mandeville;
and a brother, Pat H. Dyess of Batesville, Ark.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 31, 2000 from Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home.
Interment followed in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
Margaret K. Stockwell
MANDEVILLE -- Margaret K. Stockwell died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at her home following a lingering illness.
She was 76 years of age and a resident of Mandeville for the past 12 years.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas D. Stockwell; a daughter, Becky Rutowski; a son, Mark Stockwell; a brother, Marty Marshall; two sisters, Anne Buehler and Katherine Halkin; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Schoen Funeral Home, 1414 S. Tyler St.,
Covington.
The interment will be private.
A visitation is to be observed at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Robert Anthony "Bob" Foulon Sr.
PICAYUNE, Miss. - Robert Anthony "Bob" Foulon Sr., 71, of the Caesar Community of Picayune, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at his residence.
Foulon, a native of New Orleans, La., was an instructor at Delgado Trades School in New Orleans, La., for 11 years.
Services were held Saturday, June 10, 2000, in the Union Baptist Church of the Caesar Community, in Picayune. The Rev. G.A. McCoy officiated at the services.
Foulon was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria M. Foulon and a stepson, Norman Rester.
Survivors include his wife, Linda L.R. Foulon of Picayune; three sons, Robert A. Foulon Jr.,
David Foulon, both of Picayune, and Tracy Foulon of Gulfport; one daughter, Cassie F. O'Neal of Picayune; two stepsons, Andy Rester of Columbus and Eric Rester of Picayune; one stepdaughter, Dolly Lee of Picayune; and a brother, Eugene "Genie" Foulon of Bush, La. Additional survivors are nine grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
Richmond Brierre Galbreath
MANDEVILLE - Richmond Brierre Galbreath died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at his Mandeville residence.
He was 76 years of age, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Mandeville for the past 17 years.
He was a retired executive vice-president of Cities Service Co. and he was a past chairman of the board of Syncrude Oil of Canada. He was a graduate of Tulane University, Northwestern Management School and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Beau Chene Golf and Racquet Club.
He served with the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II and the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Galbreath; two daughters, Pamela Olson and Barbara Minutillo; one son, Richmond B. Galbreath Jr.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
Interment was in Metairie Cemetery.
Florence Evelyn Roy
COVINGTON - Florence Evelyn Roy died June 9, 2000 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
She was 62 years of age and a resident of Covington for the past 22 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertram G. and Evelyn Chretien Smith.
Survivors include one brother, Bert Smith III; and one sister, Geraldine Chaplain.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 1 N. Marigold Drive, Covington.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery in Metairie.

MANDEVILLE -- Ruth Stumpf Andersen died Sunday, June 18, 2000.
She was 92 years of age.
She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the NorthShore, specifically Mandeville, for the past 20 years.
She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Andersen; the daughter of the late William A. and Nellie S. Stumpf; and the sister of Howard E. Stumpf, Lawrence O. Stumpf, Audrey S. Rosney, and the late William Stumpf Jr. and Stanley E. Stumpf Sr.
A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.
Interment was in Lakelawn Metairie Cemetery.

Nancy Jacobs Boettner
MANDEVILLE -- Nancy Jacobs Boettner died Friday, June 16, 2000.
She was 60 years of age.
She was a native of DuQuoin, Ill. and a resident of Mandeville for the past 32 years.
She was the wife of Robert "Bob" A. Boettner; the mother of Charles S. Jacobs, James S. Jacobs and Lisa K. Cuevas; the step-daughter of Helen Ervin; the sister of Theresa L. Blessman; and a grandmother of seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.
Interment was in Mandeville Mausoleum.
John Henry Daull
FOLSOM -- John Henry Daull died Friday, June 16, 2000.
He was 63 years of age.
He was a native of Covington and a resident of Folsom for the past 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Fussell Daull; two sons, Kenny Daull and Scott Daull; two daughters, Brenda Foxworth and Amy Willie; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Baptiste and Henrietta Koepp Daull.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.
Interment was in Blackwell Cemetery.
Catherine Virginia Mathes
MANDEVILLE -- Catherine Virginia Mathes died Thursday, June 15, 2000.
She was 71 years of age.
She was a native of Monroe and a resident of Mandeville for the past 35 years.
She was the wife of the late Arthur A. Mathes Jr.; the mother of Catherine Loraine Mathes, Arthur A. Mathes III and Robert Cummins Mathes; the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Vera Bell Cummins; the sister of Marie Harvey, Willie McGuire and Peggy Lanier; and a grandmother of five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.
Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

COVINGTON -- Jerry A. Farley died Sunday, June 18, 2000.
He was 63 years of age and a lifelong resident of Covington.
He was the husband of Shirley Willie Farley; the father of Patricia F. Robin, Ernest Farley and Amy F. Thompson; the son of the late James A. and Lavinia Strain Farley; and the grandfather of seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington.
Interment will be in Abita Springs Cemetery.

COVINGTON - Carrie Elaine Sharp Jones died Tuesday, June 20, 2000.
She was 92 years of age.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Covington.
She was the wife of the late Edwin Alfred Jones; the mother of Ruthie Mae Taylor; the sister of Rachel Fitzmorris; the grandmother of two grandchildren; and the great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Shepherd's Fold Church of God, located at
79236 La. Highway 40, Covington.
Interment will be in Shepherd's Fold Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until time of services in the church.
Helen Kennon
NEW ORLEANS - Helen Kennon died Tuesday, June 20, 2000 in New Orleans.
She was 90 years of age.
She was a native of Kentwood and a longtime resident of Jackson, Miss.
She was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring with the rank of Major, and she was a longtime elementary school teacher in Kentwood, Bastrop and Tangipahoa.
She was a member of the Retired Officers Association, the Military Order of World Wars, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Jackson, Miss.
She was the daughter of the late George Atherton Kennon Sr. and Golda Ellzey Kennon; and the sister of the late Susan Kennon Johnson and George Atherton Kennon Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodland Hills Baptist Church, P.O. Box 4227, Jackson, Miss., 39296.

COVINGTON - Alvin J. Sievert died Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at Forest Manor Nursing Home.
He was 87 years of age.
He was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a retired vice president of National Sugar Refining Company.
He was a member of American Legion Post No. 16, the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Guild and the Abita Springs Senior Citizens League.
He was the father of two sons, William A. Sievert of Baton Rouge and Fred A. Sievert of Virginia Beach, Va.; one daughter, Julie M. Haase of Covington; and the grandfather of seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home.
Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Mark Stephen Bourgeois died Thursday, June 22, 2000.
He was 63 years of age.
He was a retired engineer, a native of New Orleans, La. and a former resident of Covington, La.
He was a graduate of Fortier High School and Tulane University.
He was the husband of Mary Walker Bourgeois of Washington, D.C.; the father of one son, Mark Bourgeois of McLean, Va.; one daughter, Mary Ann Bourgeois of Washington, D.C.; and the grandfather of two grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael Catholic Church in Convent, La.
Interment was in the church cemetery.

RULEVILLE, Miss. - Cannie LaBarreare died Sunday, June 25, 2000.
She was 86 years of age.
She was a licensed practical nurse at North Sunflower County Hospital.
She was the mother of two daughters, Martha Lee of Covington, La. and Margaret Kell of Greenville; and the grandmother of four grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at noon Tuesday in Lehrton Cemetery.
The Rev. Robert Rawson officiated.
Thomas Alfred Perilloux Jr.
BEDICO - Thomas Alfred Perilloux Jr. died Friday, June 23, 2000.
He was 40 years of age.
He was a native and a longtime resident of Bedico and the owner of T & D Trucking.
He was the husband of Deanna W. Perilloux; the father of Thomas Perilloux III, Tabitha D. Lowe, Heidi Perilloux, Holly Perilloux and the late Erla D. Perilloux; the son of Erla D. Perilloux and the late Thomas A. Perilloux; the brother of Jimmy Perilloux, Ronnie Perilloux, John Perilloux, Timothy Perilloux, Betty Lloyd and Wendy Lepine; and the grandfather of one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Bedico Church of God.
Interment was in the May Edwards Cemetery.

COVINGTON - Camillia St. Amant Williamson died Sunday, June 25, 2000.
She was 72 years of age.
She was a native of Hammond and a resident of Covington for the past 15 years.
She was the wife of the late George F. Williamson; the mother of George "Jeff" F. Williamson II, Alice W. McNeely, Margaret W. "Meg" Wood, Esmar W. Freedman, Stephanie W. Peroyea and Amy B. Williamson; the sister of Carla S.A. Blankenship and Sr. Jane St. Amant OSB; and the grandmother of 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

He was 40 years of age.
He was a native of Tacoma, Wash., a resident of Covington for 39 years and a hospital maintenance mechanic.
He was the father of Ashley B. Blaw and Brittnie J. Blaw; the son of Clarence and Elaine E.
Blaw; and the brother of Glenn A. Blaw.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, located at 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington.
Interment will be in Fussell Cemetery in Folsom.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.

COVINGTON - Barbara Giglio Carroll died Tuesday, June 27, 2000.
She was 65 years of age.
She was a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and a resident of Mandeville for the past 18 years.
She was the mother of Casandra Woodburn and Summer Woodburn; the stepmother of Michael Carroll, Patricia McKevitt and Kathleen Gaudet; the sister of Mae J. White; the grandmother of seven grandchildren; and the great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday at noon in the chapel of Schoen Funeral Home.
Interment was in Chinchuba Cemetery.

He was 83 years of age.
He was a native of Canada, a resident of Covington and a former construction surveyor.
He was the father of Robert W. Benson; and the brother of Catherine Bourgeois.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Vickers Northshore Funeral Home.
The burial was private.

She was 89 years of age.
She was a native of McComb, Miss., a former resident of Folsom and a resident of New Orleans.
She was the mother of Julia S. Bankston and the grandmother of one grandchild.

He was 54 years of age.
He was a native of Hillsburg, Calif. and a resident of Madisonville.
He was a U.S. Army, Navy and National Guard veteran and he retired with the rank of Sergeant.
He was a former employee of Werner Enterprises Inc. and a member of American Legion Post No. 16 in Covington.
He was the husband of Wilda I. Sutton; the father of Donald S. Sutton, Dorothy E. Sutton, Nancy S. Toenyan and Gloria J. Daugherty; and the grandfather to two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today at 11:30 a.m. in the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss
