From the very moment I learned about using purification and cleansing tools, and rituals.

I began putting them to use. My personal journey with these ancient tools has led to many

times of empowerment, and are an endless source of strentgh for me.

My first, and my favorite of these is "Sage"... It has been used for century's by the

(beloved), Native American Culture. Also at times I use "Sweet Grass Braids" which is

another tool used by some Native American Nations.

Secondly, I have always used "Incense". There are many kinds, and just as many uses...

The two that I use primarily are "Frankincense" and Myrrh Resin.

The last but by no means least, of my collection is "Blessed Olive Oil". Blessed by a

member of the Priesthood. Alongside of these special tools, are of course the Prayers and

Rituals.

These are of personal choice, depending on your area of faith or spiritual beliefs.

I have many beliefs and I see truth everywhere, so mine are varied, according to my needs.

There are many other tools out there...These listed are simply the ones of my preference.

It is my belief, through many personal experiences, that these tools and prayers, or rituals

are indeed worth researching, and making use of, especially if you feel uneasy or bogged down

by negative energies or people. They can also, in my opinion, help at times in lifting anger

or depression...

The Benefits Of Recognizing Ancestral Dreams

Dreams can provide a quick path to connecting with our direct ancestors. They are waiting to remembered. The road has simply been covered by a few inches of cultural plastic debris whose gods are industry and ecological warfare. But the older path is still laid, hidden in the dreams, folklore, and sayings of our families of origin.Exploring ancestral elements in dreams helped me move beyond gross stereotypes of my Irish, Scottish and German heritages, into a deeper connection with my past. They also, in general, keep me grounded. Thinking about ancestry, after all, has some clinically noted benefits, including boosting intelligence, confidence and self-esteem.1 This is the Ancestor Effect. When I began exploring the ancestral connection to dreaming, it was a box of Lucky Charms that presented itself first. I had to laugh; could there be a more stereotypical image of Irish culture than a befreckled leprechaun hawking marshmallows at the end of the rainbow? Ancestral dreams come when we lay out a strong intention for them, but they also can come when we need them. Sometimes ancestral dreams simply help with reframing a situation with a deeper significance. Other times, they may lead to unconsciously held information that is embedded in your own dream mythology and has been passed down for generations. The trick is recognizing them, and then honoring them in waking life. REMEMBERING THE BIGGER PICTURE My wife and I recently had our son baptized. Even though I am comfortable with Baptism on an intellectual level, I had some trepidation about the ceremony, simply because I come from a different background (I was raised Unitarian and chiefly as a humanist). My wife's uncle officiated the ceremony, adding another layer of inclusion and also (well-meaning) social pressure. The night before the baptism I had the following dream: "My wife's uncle is preparing a mine cart ride in the front yard of his home. I walk with him to make sure the path of the cart is clear. As we walk along, I am surprised to see there are no rails, but rather a stone path barely visible beneath the grass. Some large clear quartz crystal boulders line the path as well. We kick debris such as sticks from the path and I see how the stones making up the path look very old, consisting of interlocking carved stones with intricate designs all over them. The patterns include spirals, concentric rings and other sacred geometric patterns. In the dream, I wonder if they are Celtic in origin, or if they are Native (American). They seem to be both." (12/8/12) As I fried up the bacon and eggs the next morning, I reflected on how the dream revealed some of the designs that one often sees in the architecture of the church (the amazing Bryn Athyn Cathedral) where the ceremony was to be held. I puzzled over how it was a different uncle in the dream than who was presiding over the ceremony later that morning. I then had an "A-HA" moment when I remembered another significance: I also have my own family roots in this area of Pennsylvania. In fact, I'm a direct descendent of an Irish pastor who, in the 1680s, baptized members of his congregation on the banks of the Pennypack Creek, which happens to flow less than a quarter mile from the cathedral. BRINGING THE DREAM BACK INTO WAKING LIFE Remembering my own family legacy on this land, and its association with the rites of Baptism, allowed me to relax completely about the ceremony. All day long, as I walked along the grounds, I imagined those intricately patterned stones at my feet, connecting me to my own ancestry as I prepared the way for my son's spiritual "path-clearing." (As it turns out, the iron spiral bannister pictured above from the Bryn Athyn Cathedral also throws spiral shadows onto the stones, much like the dream, as can be seen here). And after the ceremony, I spoke to both of my wife's uncles about my ancestry and the dream. This was a move I made spontaneously, while most everyone else was eating coffee cake. People Of The Lie Mini Review

Just about finished reading M. Scott Peck's "People of the Lie". A few notes: a) the word "evil" is used a lot, but apart from seeing this as having aspects of narcissism, there is very little detailed and comprehensive explanation of what how it is defined. John Maquarrie, in his "Christian Theology", for instance, looks at evil in terms of different models - existence that is disordered, unbalanced, fallen (as a myth), etc, but Peck's theology is severely dualist, and his chapter on exorcism goes over the top, more like gnosticism than Christianity. His notions about the devil seem more at home in Dante! N.T. Wright's "Evil and the Justice of God" is far better on the theology. b) it is not clear how his use of the word "evil" actually helps in the case studies he presents, it seems more like an "add on", and suffers from over use. If you start to label all kinds of behaviour as "evil", there is a flattening out process, and the different spectrum of behaviour seems to be painted just one colour, black. c) he sails very close to the wind regarding professional ethics on occasion. I'm not too keen on his Freudian ideas, and the notion that the therapist must take the role of parent, the patient as child. I think Freud probably had control issues, and I wonder if Peck has. Has he not come across other types of therapy? His is presented as "the way". d) his use of the word "autistic" is bizarre, as he just uses it for any lack of empathy or consideration in relationships, Wasn't he aware of the body of literator on developmental disorders? Hadn't he even taken the trouble to read Kanner? e) His chapter on group evil is probably one of the best, but it suffers from too much generalisation from one event, which obviously made an impression on him, and has also been done better by a recent New Scientist (with only one mention of the word "evil" in the article. It was not a book I came away with feeling I had really learned much.

What Makes A Great Ghost Hunting Team

Great teams develop over time and like any good group endeavor, they depend completely on the leader's guidance and especially his motivation/agenda.

A great team does not depend on wearing matching tee's to the client's home. They have steps they go through before ever doing an investigation including having the client keep a log of activity, meeting the client away from the home in order to get a pre-interview in and check the mental status and earnestness of the client's story before entering their home. They also have the client sign a release before they set up equipment and invade their space. These are protections for the team and for the client, as well.

A great team has an online platform for their team to write up their reports and a deadline to put them up on their private network, to have evidence reviewed so the client can be updated as soon as possible.

You will never see a great team asking the clients to have the children at home or use the children as bait for ghosts. They will not dive into spiritual forms of healing upon the first meeting. In fact, they will offer other options first like opening an Bible, playing happy soft music in the home, and clearing up clutter and letting in sunlight, as well as collectively asking the spirits to leave. They do not jump to prayer, holy water, saging and such until other methods have not been helpful.

A great team does its research on the clients as well as the property. They do not discuss with clients, what they feel, sense, or "read" about the investigation as they undertaking it. They do not perform Ouija or seances or blessings of any kind without the owner's permission. They also do not go in assuming the place is haunted or taking the owner's reaction as a sign of the legitimacy of the claims. They debunk, look for incidents and situations in which things can be misinterpreted. It takes a good deal to impress a great team. Real hauntings are so very rare and giving that label to a homeowner just because of superficial evidence or "feelings" is dangerous.

A great team has disagreements, but they voice those in private and they go by consensus when making decisions. If a leader is too controlling and has a personal agenda, such as wanting a TV show or having people buy equipment for him, or only bringing in new members who are buddies or love interests, then the team is not a great team. It's likely a failing one.

It goes without saying, a great team does not charge for services.

Lastly, a great team allows for growth, introduction of new techniques, concepts, ways of doing things. They occasionally do studies in sites that are not client-based, like public sites where they can try some new methods rather than experimenting in a client's home.

I hope this has helped to clarify what makes a group great, but also for the client to know what to expect from a team when calling on them.

En 'el, se prender'a fuego cada vez que sea necesario, por ejemplo en rituales dedicados al Sol o donde el elemento fuego es protagonista de la ceremonia. En el at your house del caldero, se cuecen las energ'ias, se concentran y luego se dirigen al universo.LA ESCOBA. Una escoba de paja, o una escobilla, puede servir para barrer el lugar donde se realizar'a el ritual. La oferta de herramientas m'agicas es abundante. Pero recuerden que las herramientas m'agicas son aquellas que nosotros separamos del uso corriente para darle un significado especial. Esto es, cuando separamos un cuchillo y lo destinamos a la magia, cada vez que tomemos el cuchillo sabemos que estamos por iniociar magia. Just because I co-habit a body with a Dragon that lives in a world of Chaos, can't die no matter What is done to me, know half the Legions of Hell by their first name.. Ok so Maybe not Half. But I am Still me. I still Lust, desire, need. And Hunger is always my Shadow. Never satisfied, just Sated for a while.. Such is the way of the Lich.

Seax Wica es una tradici'on de la Wicca, una religi'on neo-pagana. Esta tradici'on tiene una basis anglosajona. La Seax Wica no pretende ser una reconstrucci'on del paganismo saj'on essential.

" HISTORIA"

En 1973, Raymond Buckland, un autor y practicante de la Wicca gardneriana cre'o una nueva tradici'on dentro de la Wicca llamada Seax Wica. Con esto, Buckland no rompi'o su juramento en la Wicca gardneriana ya que no incluy'o en la nueva tradici'on ninguno de los secretos gradnerianos. Buckland escribi'o un libro llamado The Tree: Complete Fact list of Saxon Witchcraft (El 'Arbol: Libro Completo de la Brujer'ia Sajona) como su trabajo definitivo. 'Este fue publicado en 1974 por Samuel Weiser Inc. y contiene los aspectos b'asicos de la Seax Wica. Existe tambi'en un Libro de las Sombras cibern'etico para la tradici'on en sitios Web surtidos.

Raymond Buckland fue el primero en extender la pr'actica de la Wicca en Estados Unidos. Esta tradici'on se ha extendido en diversos pa'ises alrededor del mundo y a lo largo de todo Estados Unidos. La Seax Wica es una de las tradiciones m'as grandes dentro de la Wicca. En 1976 German Lord fund'o una ramificaci'on de la Seax Wica conocida como Theodish Confidence intentando ser una reconstrucci'on m'as fiel y exacta de la antigua religi'on anglosajona.

"PR'aCTICA"

La Seax Wicca honra a Woden y a Freyja, y usa un m'inimo de las herramientas ceremoniales y una lanza. Las runas tienen un papel importante y regularmente discutido. Existe un self-assurance en el culto hacia el Dios y la Diosa. Esta tradici'on no emplea ning'un juramento secreto. Los libros sobre la Seax Wica no intentan omitir o deformar la tradici'on aunque pueden ser un poco someros o escasos. La Seax Wica permite la auto-iniciaci'on. Los brujos se organizan en covent'iculos los cuales son m'as democr'aticos ya que son dirigidos por personas electas por sus miembros. Cada coven es dirigido por cuatro personas: una Suma Sacerdotisa, un Sumo Sacerdote, el thegn una especie de guardia, y un escriba o secretario. El Sacerdote y la Sacerdotisa son electos para dirigir el coven durante trece lunas. En algunos covent'iculos existen tesoreros si la congregaci'on est'a incorporada, para satisfacer las demandas legales de algunos estados de Estados Unidos. Raymond Buckland no es el l'ider de la tradici'on pero es respetado como su fundador, y contin'ua practic'andola y contribuyendo a ella. Buckland trabaja en una nueva edici'on de The Tree. Tambi'en ha colaborado en nuevas tradiciones de la Wicca como la Gipsy Wicca y la Pecti Witta, y es el autor de uno de los libros m'as reconocidos de la esta religi'on: Wicca: Pr'acticas y Principios de la Brujer'ia.

"ETIMOLOG'iA"

La palabra Seax es una palabra usada por el pueblo saj'on para nombrar al instrumento que utilizaron en sus conquistas espada y se usa la palabra Wica con una sola C, porque as'i aparece por primera vez en las obras de Gerald Gardner y Raymond Buckland era estudiante de Gerald Gardner, luego Raymond Buckland se separar'ia de la Wicca Gardneriana por diversos motivos, considera la falta de democracia que hab'ia dentro del coven entre otros aspectos seguir con la Wicca Gardneriana. En los 70 por cuestiones de pronunciaci'on se le agregar'ia otra C a la palabra WICCA, usar WICA o WICCA es igual de correcto

"ALGUNOS T'eRMINOS USADOS EN SEAX WICA"

* La seax para nombrar el athame: se usa el nombre germ'anico.

* El 'arbol: el libro de las sombras hold.

* Lacnunga: el conocimiento de las plantas.

* El cuerno: no usan c'aliz sino cuerno. (En Asatru tambi'en se usa el cuerno)

* El casco con cuernos: en lugar de la diadema de plata.

* En la Wica Sajona se usan mucho las runas.

* Gesith: sacerdote o sacerdotisa.

"ALGUNAS CARACTER'iSTICAS DE LA TRADICI'oN SEAX WICA"

* Tiene una organizaci'on democr'atica y progresista que impide las elevaciones de Ego y luchas por el de Poder

* Se permiten las practicas en Coven o en Solitario ( siempre y cuando se hayan auto dedicado siguiendo las pautas de The Tree y como m'inimo teniendo contacto con otros seax gesith para su desarrollo y complementaci'on a distancia, existiendo la realidad de la auto-iniciaci'on si no hubiera alg'un Coven cercano a la localidad).

* No existe una estructura de grados y no hay votos de guardar Secreto.

* Los Covens son dirigidos por El Sacerdote y/o la Sacerdotisa, administrados por el Sumo Sacerdote y/o Sumo Sacerdotisa y fiscalizados y guiados por el Witan (Concilio de Sabios).

* Los cargos de responsabilidad dentro de un Coven como es el Sacerdote, Sacerdotisa, Thegn y Pare, solo pueden postular los Seax Gesith a trav'es de postulaciones nombradas y una elecci'on democr'atica, de este modo se alivia el que no haya elevaciones de ego ni de poder, estos cargos tiene la duraci'on de 1 a~no y 1 d'ia.
