If Paganism Natural Powers Of The Earth And Witchcraft Are Not Real Then Why Has The Catholic Church Been So Threatened Of These Over Time

I think this question is difficult to answer as is.

There are forms of magic that simply superstition, what was known in Early Modern Europe as "white magic." Holding a rabbits foot will bring good luck. That sort of thing.

Black magic, however, tries to summon demonic powers.

And if they dont directly summon them, the process can be manipulated by demonic powers.

This is why witchcraft is condemned by the Church: its an attempt to manipulate the supernatural, to gain power over others.

Witchcraft is considered a portal for occult oppression and even possession. So its very dangerous to souls.

Its not so much a threat to the Church as a threat to souls.

In the Early Modern Era there was also a lot of hysteria towards witchcraft, in the sense that its practice was over-estimated and people were often falsely accused. Interestingly enough, the Spanish Inquisition was among the first institutions to question how widespread the use of witchcraft, because it got wind of many accusations, so it displayed a certain amount of skepticism towards these accusations.
